Dry Camping @ Shelburne Bay Boat Ramp, Lake Champlain, Vermont. #RVLIFESTYLE

Alrighty. After getting the heck out of the hot humid swamps of Florida and Georgia last week, this is sooooo refreshing. Drove about 3.5 hours today from my last Walmart stay in Potsdam, NY…..which was fine, although rather unremarkable. Very pretty area. Very rural, rolling hills and farms. Lake Champlain is a HUGE lake and there are tons of people out enjoying it in this incredible weather. Anyway, I ended up here at the Shelburne Bay boat ramp, about 15 minutes south of Burlington, VT. Not much free, open land to boondock around here, but there are lots of boat ramps. This one was not listed on any apps or websites, except iOverlander….which is one of my go to apps when I need a sneaky spot. The lone review was just posted a couple weeks ago…as such now that the day use folks and boaters left, I have the whole place to myself, as it seems not many know about it. I’m pretty much right on the water and have a great view of Shelbourne Bay and the boat lights still cruising around. Very big wide open and level lot. Internet/data very fast. VZW is 30 mbps down/3 up, AT&T is 39 mbps down/3 up. 17 OTA HDTV stations are coming in.

May stay another day, not sure. Going to start looking for someone to repair my air conditioning now. Solar working good, generator working excellent (ended up needing a new carburetor….as the old one wore out and had a crack/hole in it.)…..now the air conditioner…. ugh….always something. At least it’s cool up here!

Oh one last thing….if coming in from the North, GPS will tell you to turn down Bay Rd…..that’s going to be a no go for most….there is a low bridge with only 11′ clearance. Keep going about 2 more miles and take Harbor Road in…..you’ll have no issues.

More Later….
